Lancaster Sound Labs
Field Lab and Porta Lab collect nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. What you record stays on your device.

Nothing. The apps do not gather personal information, usage statistics, device identifiers, crash telemetry or any other data, and they contain no third-party analytics or advertising code.
Field Lab records sound through the microphone, and will ask your permission the first time. It listens only while you are recording, because you pressed record.
Recordings are written to the app's own storage on your device. They are not uploaded, not shared, and not readable by us or by anyone else. Deleting a recording in the app, or deleting the app, removes them.
Field Lab can use the phone's tilt to move the performance pad. That motion is read while the pad is on screen and used immediately to move a control. It is never recorded, stored or transmitted.
You can import audio files, or the soundtrack of a video, from the Files app. The app reads what you choose and keeps a copy in its own storage so it can play it back. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Nothing does. The apps make no network connections. They work identically with the device in airplane mode, which is a reasonable way to check this claim for yourself.
The apps are suitable for all ages and collect no data from anyone, including children.
If this ever changes — and it would only change by adding something, since there is nothing to take away — this page will be updated and the date at the top will move.
